Being a lifelong metalhead and horror filmmaker, I've lived my life thinking outside the box. It's a trait that's led me to have the ability to incorporate high-quality, unique products that stand out and gain attention.
As well, those same qualities have been instrumental in bringing filmmaking and narrative storytelling into the world of metal music. I have a keen eye and ear for creating impactful content that sticks with the audience long after viewing and listening. I always focus my skills on bringing new life to music videos and music production - always boldly challenging the status quo.
It all literally started in my crib. My parents turned the CD player on one morning and when Bound For The Floor (Local H) filled the room, I started kicking my legs and pumping my fists to the beat. As the family story goes, my parents proudly knew they had a rocker on their hands.
Though my passion lies in metalcore, deathcore, djent, thall, etc., I'm also very versatile in my tastes and it's not surprising to see in my playlist some Breakdown of Sanity followed up by The Offspring, then Fractalize, and finally some Simon & Garfunkel and Eminem to finish it up. I simply love the symphony of all sound.
<<< Me when I travelled over 6,000 miles to see my favorite band of all time, Breakdown of Sanity, for their last show with their original singer (Carlo Knöpfel) at Bierhübeli in Switzerland.
Some people call that "clinically insane" but I just call it "commitment." 😇

It's certainly not uncommon for me to travel to accommodate the metal lifestyle. I've traveled the US for various metal festivals as a part of The Setlist Guy crew including Aftershock, Inkcarceration, Warped Tour, Sick New World, Louder Than Life, and others!
For the horror filmmaking (and music video production) side of my journey, that takes me back to 6th grade. A little precursor to this, we'll just say my family had been put through some pretty gnarly and major "life experiences" that led to little Cousteau having an interest in the macabre.
Flash forward to 6th grade, we're doing some fun little sock puppet workshop and of course, being me, I create a "horror-themed" sock puppet including blood, guts, and the works. One of the other student's grandma who tried to act as a TA (long story), eventually caught wind of my creation, and I will never forget when she walked up to me, took a look at my sock puppet, then proceeded to stare deep into my eyes and proclaim, "YOU HAVE A BLACK HEART!"
In all reality I was pretty unfazed by this and went home to laugh about it with my parents, but alas out of this my first "film production company" was born, Black Heart Productions! From there I was hooked, and the more I learned about filmmaking, the more I fell in love with it, my passion never faltering a day since. I eventually focused my filmmaking toward horror and now look at melding my two biggest passions to create striking metal music videos that leave a lasting impact on the viewer.
